Set up automatic bill pay through your bank or financial institution. This will cut down on the amount of time you spend paying bills.
-
When traveling, make copies of all your important documents like passports, traveler's checks, your itinerary, and reservations before going on a trip. Pack the copies of these documents in your checked luggage or in a separate location from the originals. This will save you lots of hassle if your bag is lost or stolen while away from home.
-
Hang a grocery list notepad on the refrigerator and train your family to write an item on the list as soon as they empty a container or realize they need something for a recipe. Next time you run out to the grocery store, you'll have your grocery list ready to go.
-
Organize each day so that you do the task you'd rather not do first. Get it out of the way early so you can enjoy the rest of your day without thinking about the task you're putting off.
-
Define a shopping time limit when you are at the store. Set an alarm on your cell phone or watch, and when the timer goes off, it’s time to go home.
-
Create a household command center and include in and out boxes for documents children bring home from school. If a form needs a signature then it will be waiting in the inbox for review.
-
When organizing your office, imagine a semi‐circle around you when you sit at your desk. Place the supplies you use most often inside this space so they will always be within reach when needed.
-
When moving homes, create relocation announcements before you move so that once you get to the new address you can put them right into the mail to let everyone know of your new location. This will ensure that friends, family, or clients can find you easily at your new address. You will also have one less thing to do while unpacking!

Pack away your winter scarves and hats inside a handbag or purse that you don’t plan on using during the spring and summer. The winter accessories will help the purse keep its shape.
