Small Spaces: Organize Your Boat

We love the challenges of working in small spaces and boats are no exception! There are a lot of factors to take into consideration and there is so much potential space in all those nooks and crannies. To help you get a jump-start on organizing your boat before the summer months, we have compiled a list of Must-Have Boat Organizing Products.

Here are a few of our favorite tips:

Buy only essential items. When space is limited, it is important to purge what you don’t need.

Organize your boat with plenty of wall-mounted and ceiling or under cabinet mounted storage to maximize storage capacity and keep everything stationary.

Apply suction cups to the sides or bottoms of items to ensure they won’t fall off flat surfaces as the boat rolls around.

Take advantage of every inch of space with rectangular, modular storage containers.

Just because your email comes to your phone, you don’t need to respond immediately. Schedule specific times to check email.

For each task on your to-do list, add its estimated completion time. This gives you a realistic view of everything on your plate for the day.

When downloading an image or file, make sure to save it in a specific folder rather than to your desktop.

For large, time-consuming tasks, break them down into smaller sub-tasks and spread them out over the day or week.

Share part of your inbox with your assistant so you can efficiently delegate email responses to your assistant.

Create a system for processing business cards you receive. Try delegating the data entry portion of the task to an assistant or intern.

Make sure to sync your devices regularly so your information is always accurate and doesn’t contain duplicates.
