Product Spotlight: The Bag Bungee

Description:
You just got dropped off at the airport with two suitcases and a carry-on.  Because you’re also carrying your jacket, a coffee, and your boarding pass, you are about three hands short of being able to move all of your things. You decide to rest your carry-on above one of your suitcases, but can only move two feet before it falls off.  You readjust and continue the next two feet, continuing this frustrating process until you reach the baggage counter…

Does this situation sound familiar?  For those who travel frequently, or for those who tend to over-pack, the Bag Bungee is a great solution.  You slip it through your suitcase handle and attach it around a bag or carry-on resting on top.  Your bag won’t shift or fall, allowing you to “carry more with less effort”!

You’ll love it for:
•  Frequent business trips
•  Traveling solo
•  College kids going to and from school
•  Helping a bad back

Cost: $9.99

Checklist: Pet-Sitter

If you’ve attended one of our webinars recently, you may have heard some adorable barking in the background.  Our team has taken in a tiny new member for the past few weeks, Lane.  She is a fluffy, happy Pomeranian dog that Innovatively Organized’s President, Elizabeth, has been pet-sitting.  Lane has enthusiastically joined all of our team meetings, taking turns in each team members’ laps.  And she greets us at the door with excitement every time we come to work.

She has a bin of toys to play with, which are usually put away.  The other day, Elizabeth came home to find toys scattered all over her home!  Lane has been the most difficult organizational client we have ever worked with, to say the least!  But she’s taken our hearts, nonetheless!

Inspired by Lane’s cuteness, we decided to create a Pet-sitter checklist for you to use when leaving town.  You can fill this form out with your contact information and all of your pet’s care instructions.  Your pet-sitter will be very grateful and your pet will be in good hands while you are away.

Get organized now with our Pet-sitter Checklist!

Tips for Organized Travel by Car

Tote bags for carrying shower or gardening supplies can also be used to hold emergency auto repair items.
A messenger bag filled with a first aid kit, bottled water, granola bars, a blanket, and warm clothing in case of a breakdown is also a great thing to keep in your car trunk.
Small plastic shoe boxes can be used to corral and hold small items like gloves, tissues and sunglasses inside the car.
Keep items from shifting in the trunk with boxes, crates or bins. Ones with handles are especially convenient for carrying groceries or other shopping purchases into your home. Look for solutions that fold down when not in use for space-efficient storage.
Let the kids travel with their own backpacks to keep their things in one place and prevent little items from being lost along the way.

‘Tis the season of holiday lunches and potlucks! Many of you will be hosting or attending group events with lots of goodies brought from home. This simple cook and carry 3-qt bakeware by Pyrex® set will make it simple to make and transport your holiday dishes. Also, it’s one or two less dishes to use for cooking, carrying, and displaying. Store all the pieces together so they take up less room in your cabinets.

Organized Food On-the-Go

One of my favorite ways to store and tote my snacks and lunches is by using Fit & Fresh containers. Removable ice packs keep food chilled and the containers are sized and labeled so you know exactly how much you’re packing which is especially helpful for portion control. Fit & Fresh keeps your food items separate, but the separate pieces also fit together so it’s convenient to toss into your briefcase or purse. And it’s an environmentally friendly way to pack meals for work, school, gym, or even outdoor activities like hiking or a picnic. It’s definitely an innovatively organized product!

For large, time-consuming tasks, break them down into smaller sub-tasks and spread them out over the day or week.

Start prioritizing your tasks to ensure you spend your time and energy doing what is important.
Use cloud services as a convenient way to access all your information while you’re on-the-go, through your laptop or your phone.
If you work from your car, set it up as a functional office with storage and office supplies like a desk.
When organizing your office, imagine a semi‐circle around you when you sit at your desk. Place the supplies you use most often inside this space so they will always be within reach when needed.
When someone gives you a business card, make notes on the back to jog your memory later. Notes might include when you met, what you discussed, potential relationship, etc.
