Creating an Organized Guest Room
Are you expecting guests to visit and stay with you this year? Does the thought of another person staying with you make you anxious? Well, follow these tips and you’ll soon have a more organized and inviting guest room to wow your visitors!
- Create a warm, cozy space for your guests to relax and enjoy while they visit. Make the guest room a place where you can show your guests that you’ve put time and energy into thinking about their needs and making them comfortable. Possibly include a reading lamp, alarm clock, a magazine that highlights your city, and a warm blanket.
- Have room for guests to store their luggage and unpack. Think like a hotel and provide similar accommodations if you can. You can easily pick up a folding luggage rack for your guests to have a place to unload. If you have room for a dresser in the guest room, keep a few of the drawers empty and let your guests know they can feel free to use them. You may even want to label these drawers so they know which ones to use and so you don’t accidentally fill them up.
- Provide an uncluttered closet. Guests typically have items they need to hang up after traveling. By clearing out space in a nearby closet and providing a few simple items, guests will be in awe over your organizational skills. Be sure to provide a few hangers and a hanging sweater bag in the closet. By having just these items, guests will have plenty of space for their short stay.
The next time a guest heads your direction, you’ll be able to remain calm and enjoy their visit even more knowing that their space is organized and ready!
